Suarez International Training for California
Gabriel Suarez developed the close range gunfighting, the concept of aggressively exploding off the "X" and engaging an attacker while evading.
Uli Gebhard is staff instructor for Suarez International and certified to teach courses in the defensive use of Handgun, Rifle/Carbine and Knife. 
All training material is focused around street-proven highly efficient and easy-to-learn techniques. Manipulations are designed to work under the stress of a lethal confrontation. Please see the individual course descriptions for more details.details.

Pistol Training
Beginner-level courses focus on safe and efficient gun manipulations that will hold up under stress. In two lines of classes we continue either towards classic defensive marksmanship or on the basics of point shooting.
Intermediate-level courses incorporate aggressive evasive movement while engaging one or multiple attackers.

Rifle/Carbine Training
Rifle/Carbine entry-level courses are centered around safe and stress-proof gun manipulations and the ability to place accurate hits at distances out to 100 meters.
Intermediat-level courses introduce ambidextrous weapons skills and move on to the same aggressive movement off the X that we use in the pistol program.

Knife Training
The defensive knife courses are bases on Michael Janich's Martial Blade Concepts. This system uses a matrix of easy-to-learn techniques on target areas that are critical to maintain mobility or the ability to wield a weapon.

Special Course - Fighting Lever Gun Seminar
Lever action rifles are very capable fighting tools that have been around for over a century. Their strengths are fast and ambidextrous operation, light weight, that makes them highly maneuverable, availability of a wide range of calibers, and – important for California and similar states – the fact that these rifles are not restricted by any assault weapons ban.
This one-day seminar will teach you how to use your lever action rifle effectively in a CQB environment, including “getting off the X” while engaging your target.
We will cover ambidextrous weapon operation, shooting on the move, keeping the rifle loaded and transitioning to pistol.
This is not Cowboy-action stuff – this is integration of a venerable rifle system into 21st century fighting applications.
Private Training
We are also available for one-on-one or small group customized training upon request. 
We can take you from the basics of marksmanship all the way through fighting skills with the handgun that allow you to evade the attack of your opponent and engage him with an overwhelming response.
Uli Gebhard is also certified through the Surefire Institute to teach low light combat.
